Value Adding Options

4BB – Newly featured as an option in Komax Solar portfolio is the 4BB capability. This feature supports the trend of more busbars, while keeping all the positive aspects of induction soldering and minimal cell handling.
Z-Bend – To support different interconnection philosophies, the Xcell X2 Turbo can be purchased with Z-Bend
capability. With the additional tooling installed, the option can simply be turned on or off via HMI control panel.
MES Connectivity – This machine is designed to be connected to an MES system using a SEMI PV2 standard
protocol. Custom solutions are also available. Equipped with bar code readers, the machine can track, material and connects the appropriate process information to the product.
Compartment – Maximize the Xcell X2 Turbo runtime and output with the Compartment feature! The Compartment feature uses divided access doors with comprehensive safety features on both sides of the machine. Operators and
maintenance personnel can access one track to perform routine maintenance while the other track remains in full
production.

Induction Solder Technology – The Xcell X2 Turbo is equipped with high
speed induction soldering. This sophisticated technology allows real closed loop solder control; measuring actual cell temperature with a pyrometer to detect the driving process indicator in real time at the source. This is the
best way to avoid excess temperature in the product, thus delivering optimum solder bonds and maximum yield. This unique process enables the user to process every state of the art cell, busbar, ribbon and flux.
Machine Performance – The compartment machine
concept allows access to the machine for ribbon loading
or maintenance tasks (on just one track) while the other
track remains in full production.
Motion Control – Blending servo moves together allows gentler motions
thus increasing the throughput.
Cell Handling, Spray Fluxing and Cell Inspection – The Xcell X2 Turbo
drastically improves yield by reducing cell handling, cell separation, optical
alignment, spray fluxing, optical cell inspection and placement onto the
preheated chuck with one smooth robot motion.
